The source of each category of Luxury Resources is different. The keyword here is “unique” as multiple tiles of the same Luxury Resource do not increase the amount of cities utilizing it. These tiles no longer have a global affect, rather each unique Luxury Resource provides +1 Amenity to up to four cities with the exceptions of Perfume, Cinnamon, and Cloves which support up to six cities. Keeping citizens at the Ecstatic level requires Luxury Resources, the most common source to boost Amenity levels.

CIVILIZATION 6 AMENITIES FREE
After that you’ll want to have Amenities equal to half of your population minus one (or just half if playing Gathering Storm as the expansion removed the free Amenity everywhere but the Capital). Your cities will start with a free Amenity built in so the first two citizens won’t need any additional support. The amount of Amenities needed is based on population, more people means more need across the board. Happiness in Civilization V (CIV 5) was altered to the new Amenities mechanic but still measures the satisfaction of citizens, though it’s now per city instead of the civilization as a whole. One of the most important factors for your empire is how happy your citizens are as revolutions and uprisings are not conducive to world domination. Civilization VI (CIV 6) made a lot of updates and changes to how you manage your cities and population.
CIVILIZATION 6 AMENITIES FULL
T hat being said, here's a full list of all luxury resources in the game. This also applies to all luxury resources, so it is highly recommended to build on luxury resources titles whenever possible, as along with the amenity boost, you will also get extra resources to trade. We especially recommend building the zoos and stadiums along with the Colosseum great wonder as they all get a boost of amenities that can reach cities within six tiles.įor luxury resources, all you need to do to get them is have a city built on top of a tile where a resource is located, and once your city is built, you will get a plus-four to amenities for the luxury resource. You can also build entertainment buildings such as arenas, zoos, and stadiums to gain amenities as well.
CIVILIZATION 6 AMENITIES PLUS
Certain great wonders will give you a boost, such as when you build the Alhambra that gives plus two or the Colosseum that gives plus one plus one to all cites six tiles from the city where it was built.
